... I will be getting on a plane to Taiwan!
I've never been to Asia before, or traveled alone internationally, so this will be exciting. I've also never kept a regular blog (outside of school assignments), but I've promised so many people I'd take pictures that this seems the most efficient platform.
All of my grade school diaries followed a very predictable pattern.
Roughly once every year, I would find an old, months-neglected journal
and be inspired to chronicle my life. I would write down how stupid my
previous entries were, vow to write better and more faithfully, draw a
few pictures of cats, and then (after about a week) promptly forget
about the diary until the cycle began again next year. Hopefully the
accountability that accompanies a public blog will make me a more reliable writer.
I'm going to be in Taipei from June 18th-July 17th with Andrew, and I'll be in Seoul from July 17th-23rd with a couple of friends from Wellesley College. I've been told internet access in both cities is far better than it is in the states, so this is far from the only way to stay in touch with me, but it may be the most reliable way of finding as many pictures of the cat cafes I visit as you can.
Follow this blog for some tourist-y and not tourist-y adventures, jet-lagged ramblings, and my progress on the giant list Andrew made of food I need to try.
